PUBG Esports has announced that the K-pop group aespa will perform live during the final day of the PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) 2025, set to take place in Seoul, South Korea, from 23 to 27 July.
The performance is part of a wider collaboration between PUBG and aespa, which includes themed in-game content. Players will be able to unlock and purchase items inspired by the group, including skins modelled after its members. Parts of one of the game’s maps have also been redesigned to reflect the partnership, featuring aespa’s logo and a music stage integrated into the environment. The group will debut their new promotional single, Dark Arts, during the closing of the international tournament.
For aespa, the collaboration with PUBG adds to a strategy aimed at growing their presence in gaming. Earlier this year, the group announced a partnership with Capcom’s Street Fighter 6. At the same time, performances at esports events are not a new fan engagement strategy, being the most recent highlight the appearance of Post Malone at the Esports World Cup 2025 opening ceremony.
Featuring 24 invited national teams, each of them with selected players to represent a country, the PNC 2025 features a $500,000 prize pool.
aespa have hits such as Drama, Supernova, and Dirty Work that fans will no doubt want to hear live at the tournament, having first debuted in 2020 and become a huge name in the K-Pop scene since.
