Brieuc “LEC Wooloo” Seeger, the founder of Sheep Esports, has taken a step from reporting on rosters to building his own, announcing the creation of a new Belgian esports team named Frites EC. The organisation is set to compete in the League of Legends Benelux ERL (European Regional League) with the goal of qualifying for the EMEA Masters.
The team represents a personal passion project for Seeger, who cited his long-standing enthusiasm for roster construction as the core motivation. “It’s genuinely my passion for roster building that has gotten me into esports and it’s always been a dream of mine to build my own roster someday!” he stated. Frites EC will represent Belgium, with Seeger aiming to showcase the country’s identity through its branding and highlight European diversity within the regional league.

The venture follows a similar path taken by other industry figures. In 2024, Brazilian journalist Luis “Showtana” Santana launched Geração Estrutura (Team GE), a League of Legends team which successfully secured a spot in Brazil’s CBLOL Academy before selling the project to Flamengo MDL. Notably, Santana is now a part of the Brazilian branch of Seeger’s own media outlet, drawing a direct parallel between the two journalist-led initiatives.
Frites EC’s social media presence will be primarily in French to engage Seeger’s streaming community and French-speaking Belgians, though English updates will also be provided. The team is actively seeking English or Dutch co-streamers. Their competitive journey begins imminently, with first official matches scheduled for 13th January. A fan watch party in Brussels for over 100 attendees is planned for 15th January.
