MOONTON Games and smartphone maker realme have announced two new programmes for esports media during the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M7 World Championship. The initiatives will run alongside the tournament and focus on media participation and recognition.
The MLBB Media Championship (MMC) and the M7 Awards for Best Media will be held during the World Championship in Indonesia from 3 to 25 January 2026. The MMC is a competitive event for media, while the awards will honour journalism related to MLBB Esports.
The MMC involves a tournament where up to eight media teams will compete during the M7 Knockout Stage. Adrian Cher, Global Head of Partnerships for MLBB Esports at MOONTON Games, stated: “Through the MMC, we’re excited to let media representatives experience MLBB Esports first-hand and highlight the role they play in connecting us with our passionate community.”

The M7 Awards for Best Media will be presented in three categories: Trendspotter, Best in Esports Business Journalism, and Outstanding Feature. Adrian Cher noted: “The M7 Awards for Best Media programme acknowledges the writers, journalists, scribes, and creators who give shape and meaning to MLBB Esports as it continues to evolve.”
Daogen Qin, Head of Gaming Business Line at realme, said: “The MMC is a great opportunity to show the world how mobile technology powers esports and brings games to life on a global stage.” The realme 15 Pro smartphone is the tournament’s Official Gaming Phone.
realme was named a partner in October 2025, and Visa was later announced as the Official Payment Partner for the event.
