NODWIN Gaming has confirmed a new partnership with Sony LIV, granting the streaming platform Hindi and English language media rights for select matches of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025. The collaboration aims to increase local engagement and viewership across India by offering tournament content in widely spoken regional languages.

Under the agreement, Sony LIV will broadcast select EWC matches starting 25 July, with coverage kicking off a day earlier through a Hindi-language chess stream. Matches involving India’s PUBG Mobile representatives, Aryan x TMG Gaming, will follow, while Tekken 8 coverage is scheduled to begin on 13 August. All Hindi-language content will be available exclusively via the Sony LIV app and website.

Beyond live match coverage, Sony LIV will also offer weekly programming, including behind-the-scenes content and athlete features. The move follows NODWIN’s recent deal with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) to oversee South Asian media rights and distribution.

The EWC 2025, hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is being regarded as a turning point for India’s esports axpansion and international visibility. The country will make its debut at the event with representation in both PUBG Mobile and chess, including Grandmasters Arjun Erigaisi, Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, and teams such as Team S8UL.

According to NODWIN Gaming Co-Founder and Managing Director Akshat Rathee, the partnership is designed to enhance regional accessibility and foster a stronger connection between fans and the tournament: “With both Hindi and premium English content, we are creating a viewing experience that feels personal, immersive, and truly regional.”
