Romanian production company PGL, which runs tournaments in Counter-Strike and Dota 2, has committed $13 million in prize money for the events that have been confirmed in Dota 2 for the next three and a half years.

PGL is one of the longest-standing esports tournament organisers, working predominantly with Valve titles, and has doubled down on its commitment to MOBA hit Dota 2, plotting out a roadmap from mid-2025 all the way through 2028.

In the announcement post from PGL, they said: “As part of its unwavering commitment to the global DOTA 2 scene, PGL has unveiled a comprehensive tournament roadmap stretching through 2028 – an unprecedented move that reinforces the company’s long-term vision for the esports competitive scene. By locking in event dates years in advance and maintaining a consistent $1,000,000 prize pool for each tournament, PGL offers stability for teams, clarity for fans, and a reliable, competitive structure that elevates the entire ecosystem.

“Across the 13 confirmed DOTA 2 tournaments from 2025 to 2028, PGL will award $13,000,000 in prize money. PGL is committed to expanding the DOTA 2 competitive scene and is actively working to add at least one additional event per year in 2026, 2027, and 2028.”
