Red Bull Malaysia has announced the launch of Red Bull Next Generation, a new athlete development programme to support young talents across Southeast Asia, including esports players.
Launched under TCP Group, one of the owners of the Red Bull brand in Asia, the programme will first roll out in Malaysia and Indonesia. It is open to athletes aged 18 to 25 who are actively developing their careers and looking to take the next step in their journey.
While the programme welcomes athletes from all sports and disciplines, it also includes esports, making it an opportunity for up-and-coming esports players to receive support beyond competition results alone.
Athletes including esports players will be selected based on factors such as mindset, potential, commitment to their sport, and the level of support available to them, rather than just achievements or social media influence.
Selected players will receive essential support that includes workshops, mentorship, media training, financial assistance, and content visibility across Red Bull channels.
However, Red Bull has not revealed which esports titles are eligible for the programme or whether it is targeting players from specific games. The Esports Radar has reached out to Red Bull for clarification on the esports selection criteria and the titles that may be included and will update this article once we receive a response.

“At TCP Group, we believe Southeast Asia has an incredible future generation of athletes, creators and communities shaping the future of sport and culture,” said Supasita Kraisri, Chief Global Marketing Officer, TCP Group.
Adelene Tay, Head of Marketing, TCP Red Bull Malaysia, said, “Red Bull Malaysia has always been committed to energising the local sporting community, from supporting grassroots motorsports talent to providing platforms that inspire ambition, growth, and belief among the next generation of Malaysian athletes.”
“Across Southeast Asia, there are young athletes putting in the work every day, often before anyone is paying attention,” said Sigurd Meiche, Program Director for Red Bull Next Generation.
Applications for Malaysian athletes aged 18 to 25 are now open from June 2026 through the Red Bull Next Generation website. The first group of Red Bull Next Generation athletes is expected to be announced from August 2026 onwards.
