Riot Games has confirmed that the 2026 edition of VALORANT Champions, the concluding event of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) season, will take place in Shanghai, China. The competition will be held at the Mercedes‑Benz Arena, the same venue that hosted Masters Shanghai 2024 and will also stage part of the 2025 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2025).

The announcement follows the success of Masters Shanghai in 2024, which recorded high attendance, strong viewership figures and city‑wide promotional activations. Riot Games described the event as a milestone in demonstrating Shanghai’s readiness to host one of its flagship esports tournaments.

The VALORANT Champions global rotation began in 2024 with Seoul, South Korea, followed by Paris, France, in 2025. The competition is set to move to the Americas in 2027. According to Riot Games, the choice of Shanghai for 2026 reflects the rapid growth of the VCT China region, credited to local fans for creating a highly engaged live event atmosphere.

VALORANT Champions 2026 will feature the top teams from the global VCT circuit, with Riot aiming to replicate and build upon the large‑scale fan engagement seen during previous Shanghai events.
