One week into the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC), the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) continues to announce and formalise partnerships, with Saudia (Saudi Airlines) now confirmed as the official airline partner of the event.

The agreement sees Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, align its involvement with the broader objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 — supporting the country’s ambition to position itself as a global esports hub while expanding its tourism sector.

As part of the partnership, Saudia will provide exclusive travel packages and special offers for fans and visitors attending the tournament. These will include premium hospitality services and curated onboard entertainment, in addition to international marketing campaigns aimed at promoting Saudi Arabia as a destination for sports and tourism.

“This partnership with Saudia is a key pillar in connecting esports fans and professionals to the Kingdom and in strengthening the international profile of the tournament,” said Mohammad Al Nimer, Chief Commercial Officer at the Esports World Cup Foundation. “It reflects the Kingdom’s ambition to become a global hub for major esports.”

Khaled Tash, Group Chief Marketing Officer at Saudia, added: “This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting national initiatives that drive tourism growth and promote the development of sports tourism. We are leveraging our expertise and capabilities to deliver a seamless and elevated travel experience for tournament guests that embodies the quality of our services, the warmth of Saudi hospitality, and the Kingdom’s global appeal.”

To launch the partnership, Saudia took part in the EWC 2025 Opening Ceremony, which featured a red carpet moment with celebrity guests from music, sport, and streaming.
