Team Vitality’s Senior Esports Manager and Strategic Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Lead, Qayser Sachdev, announced that his chapter at the French organisation has come to an end.

The team’s Counter-Strike division is currently operating at such a legendary, era-defining level that any change to its structure carries massive weight. Sachdev led strategy and operations for a team that has spent the last year completely reshaping the competitive landscape.

This departure lands at a highly critical moment for the roster, as it comes right before the upcoming IEM Cologne Major 2026, which is scheduled to run from 2 June to 21 June. In his announcement, Sachdev reflected heavily on the organisation’s leadership under founders FabienNeoDevide and Nicolas Maurer, expressing his pride in witnessing the roster defy expectations. He noted that the opportunity to watch this team prove everyone wrong again and again was “lightning in a bottle.”

The legacy Sachdev leaves behind is undeniably gold-plated. During his roughly year-long tenure across 2025 and early 2026, Team Vitality went on a historic rampage. In 2025, the team captured both the BLAST.tv Austin Major and the StarLadder Budapest Major, making them the first roster since 2019 to win two consecutive Majors. Their trophy cabinet from that year alone also includes ESL Pro League Seasons 21 and 22, IEM Katowice 2025, IEM Melbourne, and BLAST Rivals Spring. All of this was anchored by an unprecedented 30-match winning streak in the first half of the year.

The momentum did not slow down heading into 2026, solidifying this lineup as one of the most ruthless dynasties in the game’s history. Vitality opened the current year by winning IEM Kraków in February, followed by a dominant 3-0 sweep over NAVI at the BLAST Open Rotterdam, which brought the team to over 20 consecutive map wins. Most recently, they secured the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 title with a clean 3-0 victory over PARIVISION.

As the team gears up for Cologne, it does so having firmly locked down the top of the Valve Regional Standings. As for Sachdev, the professional announced he will share news on his next chapter “soon”.
