BLAST has announced the appointment of Anne Banschbach as its new Lead for Valve Ecosystems, overseeing Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2, with additional support responsibilities across other titles. Banschbach will officially join the company in September.

The news was shared via BLAST’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, where the company highlighted Banschbach’s experience leading “esports success at the highest level.”

At the time of writing, Banschbach still serves as Director of Esports at Team Vitality, but set to leave the position after its paticipation at the Esports World Cup 2025. She previously held the position of Head of Esports Operations during her more than three years at the organisation, spanning a prolific period for the French team.

Her prior experience also includes two years at G2 Esports, where she worked in League Operations.

The hire comes amid a period of international expansion for BLAST. In May, the company announced the opening of a New York office as part of its growing global presence. BLAST was also behind the Austin Counter-Strike Major and has launched a joint venture in India—JioBLAST—with local partner RISE.
