Connectivity optimisation platform ExitLag has announced a partnership with mobile game developer Supercell to launch a special edition of the ExitLag ChampZ tournament dedicated to Clash Royale.
Tailored specifically for the Latin American (LATAM) competitive region, the initiative is the first official joint activation between the two brands. It aims to blend third-party competitive tournament infrastructure with direct consumer rewards for active players.
The tournament is currently underway, having opened registration on June 26, and is scheduled to run through July 12, 2026. Hosted via the Challengermode competitive platform, the circuit features open qualifiers utilising a single-elimination format, a restricted bracket phase reserved exclusively for active ExitLag subscribers, and a final 16-player double-elimination playoff stage.
Official broadcasts will commence on July 11 for the quarterfinals, culminating in the semifinals and grand finals on July 12. Alongside a tiered cash prize pool totaling R$30,000 BRL (approximately $5,820 USD), the top 16 finalists will receive exclusive in-game content and benefits at the ExitLag platform.

Lucas Almeida, Marketing Director at ExitLag, explained that the collaboration serves as a strategic cornerstone for the expansion of the ExitLag ChampZ competitive brand, which has previously executed 34 tournaments across 14 separate gaming titles. Almeida noted that working alongside Supercell allows the organisation to engage directly with targeted competitive communities worldwide, reinforcing an operational framework that seeks to create tangible experiences beyond baseline server connectivity.
Prior to this activation, the ChampZ tournament ecosystem had recorded over 22,000 registered players and a cumulative unique viewing audience exceeding 700,000 on Twitch. In 2025, The Esports Radar spoke with ExitLag CEO Lucas Stolze about the strategy behind the competitive circuit.
The tournament rollout aligns with a broader, documented wave of structural and operational investments by Supercell into its competitive gaming portfolio. Over the past year, the Helsinki-headquartered publisher has significantly boosted its mobile esports presence, highlighted by a multi-year ecosystem partnership with tournament organiser BLAST for a $2 million Brawl Stars circuit, and the appointment of Rachel Rakowski as Head of Esports for Clash of Clans.
