Esports and gaming entertainment company NODWIN Gaming has promoted Teemu Koski to CEO of its Middle East and North Africa (MENA) business.
The move comes less than a year after Koski joined the company as Chief Business Officer, a role in which he was responsible for steering NODWIN’s growth across the MENA region.
In his latest announcement, Koski stated that NODWIN Gaming is trying to build entire ecosystems that connect content creators, entertainment, online communities, brands, technology, and live events to reach younger audiences who consume media differently than previous generations.
Gaming and esports remain central to that plan, but Koski’s comments make clear the ambitions go beyond just competitive gaming. As CEO for MENA, Koski says his main focus will be on speeding up that vision across the region. That includes strengthening relationships with governments in the region, working more closely with game publishers, deepening ties with brands and sponsors, and building commercial platforms designed to last, rather than short-term projects.
Notably, Koski’s responsibilities won’t stop at the regional level. Alongside running the MENA business, he’ll also lead NODWIN Gaming’s global data monetisation business.
In the statement announcing the news, Koski said, “I’m excited to share that I’ve taken on the role of CEO, NODWIN Gaming MENA. As CEO for MENA, my focus will be on accelerating this vision across the region by strengthening partnerships with governments, publishers, brands and strategic partners, while creating sustainable commercial platforms that help shape the future of youth culture.”
Before joining NODWIN, Koski built a career spanning both telecom and esports. He spent nearly 15 years at Elisa, the major Finnish telecommunications company, where he eventually became Head of Elisa Esports. He later moved to Dubai to join YaLLa Esports, first as Vice President of Media Business before being promoted to Chief Growth Officer, a role he filled until June 2025, when the company reportedly filed for bankruptcy.
