JioBLAST has expanded its partnership with the Esports Foundation to bring more India-focused coverage of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 to fans.
The partnership between JioBLAST and the Esports Foundation initially began in May 2026 with India Rising: Road to EWC, a national esports competition and fan festival held in India ahead of this year’s event.
As part of the latest collaboration, JioBLAST will help produce content and coverage around EWC 2026 on the Official EWC India YouTube channel. The goal is to make it easier for Indian fans to follow how the country’s players and teams are performing at the tournament.
This will include dedicated coverage of Indian teams and players through the tournament, along with behind-the-scenes content and player stories that give fans a closer look at the athletes. The coverage will also be localised through Hindi-language content and commentary.
In the official announcement, JioBLAST also highlighted that India’s presence at this year’s tournament has been notable across more than one game. In the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC), two Indian teams have qualified for the Grand Finals at EWC 2026. The company said reaching the finals of this event is considered a significant achievement for Indian teams on the global stage. On the other hand, Chess has also become a key part of India’s story at this year’s EWC as three Indian players are competing at the tournament.

Speaking on the collaboration, Charlie Cowdrey, CEO of JioBLAST, said, “India’s esports ecosystem is at an exciting inflection point. With Indian players and teams increasingly competing on global stages, there is a strong opportunity to tell these stories to audiences in a way that is local, relevant and engaging. Taking charge of the EWC India channel allows us to bring the tournament closer to Indian fans while celebrating the talent representing the country.”
Mohammed Al Nimer, Chief Commercial Officer of the Esports Foundation, said, “The Esports World Cup is built around the world’s best players and the fans who follow them, and India is vital to our future. The country has one of the world’s largest and most engaged gaming audiences, with world-class talent across titles, from chess Grandmasters to leading mobile esports players and Clubs. Through our partnership with JioBlast, we can give that talent a global stage at EWC, while giving millions of fans across India a front-row seat to the world’s biggest esports event and welcoming them into a global community that continues to grow every day.”
JioBLAST’s esports portfolio has been expanding on multiple fronts recently. Just one day ahead of this announcement, Riot Games and JioBLAST announced a partnership to host the VALORANT Campus Cup, a nationwide collegiate esports program to grow competitive gaming at the grassroots level across Indian colleges and universities. Separately, JioBLAST is also set to manage the Brawl Stars Challengers Final in Istanbul, Turkey, this September, as part of its agreement with Supercell.
