Ukrainian esports organisation B8 Esports, best known for its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) and Dota 2 teams, has announced a new partnership with crypto platform PayPilot.

As part of the deal, PayPilot’s logo will be placed on B8 Esports jerseys near the chest. Neither party has shared the financial value of the deal, how long it will run, or other details about its scope, such as whether the partnership will include joint content or other promotional activities. Though, B8 is encouraging its followers to sign up for a PayPilot account through a referral link, which suggests the organisation may earn a commission whenever someone creates a new account that way.

According to the team’s official website, this new deal comes alongside B8 Esports’ existing partnerships with Ukrainian betting company BetKing and Skin.club, a platform used for trading Counter-Strike 2 skins.

B8 Esports stated in their official LinkedIn announcement post, “Excited to officially welcome PayPilot — the newest partner of B8 Esports. PayPilot brings crypto and everyday payments together in one app: a wallet, a payment card, crypto/fiat exchange, and IBAN for transfers. In short — store, exchange, and spend, all without the extra hassle.”

The latest B8 esports deal appears to be PayPilot’s first major partnership in esports, as the platform has not previously worked with any esports organisations. Crypto platforms entering esports sponsorships is not new, however, as these companies look to reach the large, online-native fan base that follows esports. BLAST, for example, partnered with crypto platform Nova Wallet last year for five events, including the CS2 Austin Major.

Other crypto brands have taken a similar approach at the tournament level rather than through team sponsorships. Nordic cryptocurrency exchange Safello sponsored the 2025 Swedish Cup (Svenska Cupen), Sweden’s national Counter-Strike 2 tournament. Similar to PayPilot, this was Safello’s debut deal in the esports industry.
