Publisher Riot Games has issued a provisional suspension against League of Legends player Tomislav “Thomas“ Nanjara of French ERL team TLN Pirates following alleged violations of the Riot Games Esports Global Code of Conduct.
The disciplinary proceeding, effective 22 October 2026, stems from competitive integrity concerns flagged within La Ligue Française (LFL), the French ERL for League of Legends Esports.

According to Riot, under the company’s governance protocols, the provisional suspension serves as a precautionary measure to safeguard competitive integrity while formal investigations and disciplinary reviews remain ongoing. The publisher highlighted that the temporary sanction does not constitute a final finding of wrongdoing and may be lifted depending on the outcome of the evidence review. Nanjara has been formally notified of the allegations and will be permitted to submit a statement before a final ruling is delivered.
Following the announcement, French organisation TLN Pirates released an official statement in French confirming that management initiated contact with Riot Games after discovering information that called into question the competitive integrity of specific LFL matches. The organisation handed over its internal findings to the publisher and confirmed it is fully cooperating with investigating officials.
To safeguard the inquiry and respect due process, TLN Pirates confirmed it has enacted internal precautionary measures within its active playing roster while withholding further public commentary. Reaffirming its commitment to competitive standards, the club stated that upholding competitive integrity remains an absolute priority for its community, commercial partners, and the broader League of Legends ecosystem.
This investigation adds to what has already been a turbulent period for the LFL. The league’s ongoing stability is being put to the test following high-profile exits, including Team Vitality‘s departure and Ici Japon Corp Esport shutting down its esports operations, as well as the impending operational transition away from Webedia after the 2026 season. With agencies like NEO in discussions with Riot Games to forge a new path forward, the French ecosystem finds itself navigating both competitive integrity challenges and major structural uncertainty.
