German esports organisation Berlin International Gaming (BIG) announced an extension of its partnership with Philips OneBlade, male shaving and grooming brand of electronics giant Philips. Originally established in January 2022, the renewed collaboration will place a stronger emphasis on Fortnite and the development of emerging esports talent in Germany.

According to a press release, Fortnite plays a strategic role in the partnership due to its popularity among younger audiences. Philips views the title as an effective platform to create brand experiences and to raise awareness of OneBlade as a modern grooming product. The long-term objective is to position the brand front-of-mind for its target demographic.

BIG continues to strengthen its position in the game, with Vic0try0na (Taylor-Petrikvic0Gatschelhofer) among the top-performing players in Europe currently on the roster. The organisation has also recently welcomed content creator KendrickGripeyDitze and promising players darm and Volko, signalling a clear intent to grow its influence in both competitive play and community engagement.

Youth development remains a shared priority. Through the BIG SELECTA talent programme, the organisation recently scouted NoahNOAHJR10Güngörmez, who is regarded as a rising star in the local scene. Both parties see this grassroots approach as vital to fostering a sustainable future for esports in Germany.

“We’re very pleased to continue working with Team BIG as a strong partner,” said Tomke Weber, Consumer Marketing Manager for Male Grooming DACH at Philips. “Given their impressive development in Fortnite, this aligns well with our future plans.”

Daniel Finkler, CEO of BIG, commented: “With Philips OneBlade, we have a partner who shares our vision for sustainable youth development in esports and actively contributes to it. We see great potential in Fortnite – not only competitively but also in terms of reach and creative campaign formats. We look forward to continuing this journey together and supporting young talent.”

Over the past years, the two partners have worked together on various initiatives, including appearances at gamescom and the BIG SELECTA Bootcamp programme.
