MOONTON GAMES has appointed its former Senior PR Manager Marcus Lim as the new Overseas PR Lead, a move aimed at advancing the company’s global communications and brand strategy beyond China.
In his new position, Lim will oversee public relations efforts across business-to-business, business-to-government, and business-to-consumer segments. His responsibilities span strategic communications for both MOONTON’s corporate brand and its games, covering launches, live operations, esports, government engagement, and crisis communications.
Lim will also lead global PR initiatives at major esports events, including the Esports World Cup in Riyadh and MOONTON’s flagship M Series World Championship.
In a statement issued to The Esports Radar, Lim spoke about his first objectives in the new role: “As MOONTON Games accelerates its global expansion, so does my role within the company. It’s a pivotal time for us, with new games like Magic Chess: Go Go, original IPs like Silver and Blood, and world-class esports like MPL and the M Series. My focus is on crafting a sharper, more unified global narrative while deepening trust with media, governments, and partners.”
Lim also revealed a job opening following his promotion: “To match the scale of what’s ahead, I’m expanding our PR team and hiring a PR Manager. Watch this space—there’s more to come,” he said while providing a link for the job listing.
Previously serving as Senior PR Manager at MOONTON, Lim brings a strong track record from his time at Activision Blizzard, where he led award-winning PR and ambassador campaigns for franchises such as Call of Duty, Overwatch, and Warcraft across Southeast Asia and India.
His career also includes roles at Garena and its owner Sea Group, and communications firm Edelman. The story was first reported on LinkedIn by GamingonPhone.
