Rocket League’s latest patch, version 2.54, introduces new administrative controls that could streamline match management for tournament organisers. Released on 29 July 2025 across all major platforms, the update adds functionality allowing private match hosts to pause games, modify the remaining time and score, and restart play from kickoff when required.

These tools, now available in private lobbies, are designed to give hosts greater flexibility during competitive play.

In the event the original host leaves a match, administrative control will transfer automatically to the next player in the lobby. If that player is in a party, the party leader will assume control instead.

Alongside the administrative features, the update includes adjustments to the audio feedback for crossbar hits, changes to training packs, and stability improvements. While the patch brings multiple technical refinements, the enhanced match administration options are expected to be particularly useful for esports organisers and community tournament hosts who require reliable in-game tools to manage their events efficiently.
