The NAM Atlântico, the largest warship in Latin America, will be the stage for the Ferjee Esports Circuit (CFE) finals during the Rio Innovation Week (RIW), taking place from 12 to 15 August at Pier Mauá, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Organised by the Rio de Janeiro State Esports Federation (FERJEE), the tournament will feature some of the main Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) teams competing in Brazil, like Red Canids, Oddik, Sharks and Imperial. The championship will award R$250,000 (approximately $46.500) in prize money.
The finals will be held within the Game Season Rio (GSR), an event that will also host panels, debates, and activations covering topics such as innovation, the role of esports, and digital education.
According to Revista Fator Brasil, FERJEE will also introduce a women’s tournament as part of its activities, with both competitions being streamed live on its official Twitch and YouTube channels. Notable Brazilian Counter-Strike personalities, including commentators and former players like CS Major winners Fernando “fer” Alvarenga and Lincoln “fnx” Lau.
Access to the tournament requires a Rio Innovation Week ticket, with no separate ticket sales for the esports events. Ferjee plans to hold ticket giveaways on its social media channels in the coming weeks.
The initiative is supported by the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat for Sport and Leisure, through the Sports Incentive Law, by Sandisk, and by energy company Light.
