TALON Esports has entered into a partnership with Visa aimed at increasing fan engagement across Asia Pacific.
The agreement will see Visa work with TALON’s Arena of Valor and Dota 2 teams to offer supporter initiatives such as team access, merchandise and hospitality events.
In a press release, Sean Zhang, Chief Executive Officer of TALON Esports, said the partnership marked “a significant milestone” for the organisation, noting that it aligns with growing demand among fans for new types of engagement.
The collaboration adds to Visa’s wider involvement in esports. In Latin America, Visa recently renewed its partnership with organisation Isurus until 2026, spanning Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico, with an emphasis on reaching younger audiences. In Central Asia, Visa has worked with Ipak Yuli Bank, Tencent and ESL FACEIT Group to launch a PUBG Mobile-branded payment card in Uzbekistan.
Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Hong Kong, Talon competes in titles including League of Legends, VALORANT, Arena of Valor and Dota 2. The organisation reports a following of more than 25 million across eight markets in the region, and recently closed a sponsorship deal with cryptocurrency trading platform Flipster.
