UK-based VR sports platform VTEC VR Tennis is expanding its international footprint with a new partnership spanning the United Kingdom, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Norway and South Korea.
The collaboration brings together VTEC with esports and technology specialists including Sam Cooke (GSE Group, UNEVN, Cyberlabs), James Fraser-Murison (Fraser Esports) and Stuart Kosters (VTEC and Skill Serve Experience), alongside industry organisations The Esports Radar and Playmakers.
For stakeholders in education and community sports, the initiative offers a potential model for integrating VR-based competitions into curricula and programming. VTEC VR Tennis combines competitive VR gameplay with educational elements, positioning itself at the intersection of esports, STEM learning, and physical activity.
“This initiative will open new opportunities for schools, colleges, universities, sports clubs and venues at all levels, community centres, youth clubs and more to explore the intersection of sport, technology, and education in its own right and provide an innovative pathway to Tennis” said Alexandra J. Nancarrow, Co-Founder of VTEC VR Tennis.
“This collaboration will extend our reach and support our mission to provide equal opportunities for competition and learning globally,” added Stuart Kosters, UK Director of VTEC.
“Together we’re committed to building out the VTEC ecosystem to help the sport of tennis to become far more accessible, and for it to be more widely taught, played, enjoyed and experienced globally,” said Sam Cooke, Co-Founder at the GSE Group and Chief Business Development Officer at UNEVN,
Representatives from the project will attend several upcoming industry events, including PHASE25 in Edinburgh, Esports Leaders London, BETT Asia in Kuala Lumpur, and LEARN 2025 in Riyadh, indicating a concerted effort to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders across education, esports, and sports technology markets.
Disclaimer: The initiative is supported by The Esports Radar and Playmakers, both part of the GSE Group. The Esports Radar also organises Esports Leaders London.
