Logitech G announced a major expansion of its gaming and esports product portfolio during Logitech G PLAY 2025, held simultaneously in Shanghai, Madrid, and via livestream. The showcase featured a wide range of innovations across PC and console gaming, sim racing, and streaming tools, while also underscoring the company’s commitment to advancing research into elite gaming performance.

Earlier this year, Logitech committed €2.5 million (around $2.9 million) to a four-year research programme with Lero, the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre at the University of Limerick. The initiative aims to expand understanding of high-performance play in competitive gaming, underlining the company’s focus on product development grounded in esports science.

“Gaming is a passion shared by more than three billion people worldwide,” said Ujesh Desai, Vice President and General Manager of Logitech G. “It’s the unique level of craftsmanship and precision of the impactful innovations that make gaming more fun, competitive, and deeply personal, which is what drives us to keep improving and make better products.”

Among the announcements, Logitech unveiled new PRO Series devices developed with professional players, including the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE Gaming Mouse, featuring the world’s first haptic inductive trigger system for faster and more precise input, and the PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2c, a compact mouse designed for elite competition.

Sim racing also received a major upgrade through Logitech’s ongoing partnership with McLaren Racing. The new RS50 Direct Drive Wheel Base with TRUEFORCE feedback and RS Pedals were revealed, along with a McLaren-branded collection that includes the RS Formula Wheel, a custom racing headset, and a cockpit chair designed with McLaren engineers and esports drivers.

Streaming and software innovations

On the content creation front, Streamlabs introduced its AI Streaming Agent, powered by NVIDIA ACE technology, offering automated production tools such as scene switching and highlight clipping. Logitech G also revealed updates to G HUB, with a new Games feature that centralises library and settings management across multiple platforms.

In addition to product announcements, Logitech G partnered with G2 Esports for a dedicated segment of Logitech G PLAY 2025 focused on diversity and inclusion. Hosted from G2’s headquarters in Berlin, the event featured a panel highlighting women in esports, including professional VALORANT players MichaelamimiLintrup and Petra Stoker, on-air talent Laure Valée, and content creator AthenaKittyJiang. The discussion, broadcast on Twitch and YouTube, explored breakthrough moments and challenges faced by women in competitive gaming.

Logitech G PLAY 2025 continues the company’s annual format of combining product launches with discussions around the future of gaming. By linking research partnerships with new esports-focused technologies and industry collaborations, Logitech positioned its latest portfolio as both a commercial expansion and a statement of intent around its role in professional gaming’s development.
