GRID has acquired the technology assets of Bayes Esports, following the Berlin-based company’s liquidation proceedings. The deal brings Bayes’ data trading solutions, prediction models, and fan engagement tools into GRID’s portfolio, with a particular focus on the GRID Bet division.

“The acquisition of Bayes assets further accelerates GRID’s capabilities to create value for rights holders in esports and shape the next phase of esports betting in particular,” said Moritz Maurer, Founder & CEO of GRID.

Bayes entered formal insolvency on 1 August, when the Charlottenburg district court declared the company insolvent and over-indebted. The company had lost several major contracts before its collapse. Riot Games ended its partnership with Bayes in 2024, later appointing GRID, while the Esports World Cup Foundation and ESL FACEIT Group also shifted to GRID in 2025. Bayes had previously partnered with all three.

GRID continues to expand its data services business, going beyond esports boundaries to reach the indie gaming market and also tackling streaming initiatives.
