Visa has been announced by MOONTON Games as the Official Payment Partner for the upcoming M7 World Championship, the main tournament of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) competitive calendar.

The partnership marks Visa’s first collaboration with the MLBB Esports ecosystem, with the goal of integrating Visa’s payment technology into the tournament, providing fans with enhanced experiences and promoting financial inclusion amongst the game’s young audience.

As part of the partnership, Visa cardholders will receive a 20% discount on M7 tickets during the regular sale period. They will also be entered into a draw to win premium experiences, such as VIP tickets, premium seating, backstage tours, and meet-and-greets. According to a press release, the deal is designed to leverage MLBB’s digitally-native community, a significant portion of which falls within the 19 to 32 age bracket. Full campaign details are scheduled to be released at a later date.

MLBB is one of the world’s most popular esports titles in terms of viewership. The game has amassed over 1.5 billion installations and its esports ecosystem generated 475 million hours watched in 2024 according to Esports Charts.

The M7 World Championship is set to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, in January 2026. This marks the tournament’s return to Jakarta since the M4 World Championship was held there in 2022. The event will feature 22 teams competing for a share of a $1,000,000 USD prize pool.

Visa joins smartphone brand realme as a M7 official partner. The previous MLBB world championship, M6, generated over €115 million (approximately $132 million USD) in brand value for its partners according to MOONTON Games and Shikenso Analytics.

Visa’s partnerships on the esports sector include different investments around the globe. While a deal with TALON Esports also aims to increase fan engagement across the Asia Pacific region, the renewal of its alliance with Isurus until 2026 is focused on engaging younger gamers in Latin America. In Uzbekistan, the company partnered with Ipak Yuli BankTencent and ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) for a Visa PUBG Mobile payment card.
