Ukrainian organisation PassionUA has advanced to the Stage 3 of the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Starladder Budapest Major after a victory over M80, positioning the team for a deep run in the tournament. The organisation is using its presence at the event to initiate a push for new commercial partnerships ahead of the 2026 season, aiming to expand its partner ecosystem.

The organisation’s commercial objectives were made public before its Stage 3 qualification was secured. In a LinkedIn post made ahead of the decisive match against M80, Oleg Kapelson, Business Development & Partnerships at PassionUA, stated the organisation is “actively expanding our partner ecosystem for the 2026 season.”

The post, published before the team’s victory, stated Passion UA is open to brands interested in entering or strengthening their presence in esports, reaching a young, highly engaged audience, and building collaborations with a “fast-growing and ambitious organization.”

“Let’s meet. I’d be happy to explore potential synergies and partnership formats,” Kapelson’s post concluded, extending an invitation to brands present at the Budapest event.

The public call for partners, issued while the team’s advancement was still uncertain, now coincides with a significant competitive achievement. Success at a CS2 Major often leads to increased visibility and commercial interest, which Passion UA appears keen to leverage immediately by scheduling meetings on the ground.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story said PassionUA qualified for the Major Budapest’s Playoffs, while they have actually qualified for the Stage 3. The article has been amended accordingly shortly after its publication.
