Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is initiating a significant strategic expansion in Thailand for 2026, including the formal reintegration of its national esports scene into the game’s global ecosystem. This move by MOONTON Games aims to build on the title’s existing popularity and establish Thailand as a long-term, competitive nation within the international MLBB landscape.
The initiative is a direct response to the game’s substantial market traction in the country. The 2026 strategy will be implemented through a multi-faceted approach involving key influencer partnerships, substantial community investment, and the launch of a new professional league.
With this, MOONTON has officially introduced the MLBB Super League (MSL) Thailand, marking the country’s formal return to the international competitive circuit. The inaugural season will feature eight invited teams, and more details will be revealed during the M7 World Championship Grand Finals.

This esports push was commented by Hao Zhen Siew, Head of MLBB Thailand Esports: “We are focused on welcoming Thailand back into the global MLBB esports ecosystem and building on the country’s rich competitive heritage. Through this reintegration, we are committed to developing a sustainable ecosystem, nurturing teams, players, creators, communities, partners, and future legends for the long term.”
A cornerstone of this localisation drive is a long-term collaboration with Viratsan “GuyNgid” Ariyawongpisal, pointed by MOONTON as Thailand’s most influential MOBA and mobile gaming figure. With over 9 million followers, he will act as a regional strategy partner. MLBB and GuyNgid will jointly invest over 20 million THB in cash rewards and incentives for the local creator community through contests, TikTok programmes, and influencer partnerships.
Wei Guo, MLBB Thailand Country Manager at MOONTON Games, stated: “As a deeply trusted voice within the Thai gaming community, GuyNgid brings invaluable insight into player behaviour, preferences, and culture. This collaboration allows us to curate a game experience that feels authentically Thai.”
MOONTON continues to push for a global Mobile Legends competitive ecosystem. The company recently partnered with tournament organiser PGL to launch a European circuit. In 2025, The Esports Radar spoke with MOONTON’s Head of Esports Ecosystem Ray Ng about the company’s vision for its expansion. Read the full interview in this link.
