AndaSeat, a global maker of ergonomic gaming chairs and desks, has announced a new partnership with Dplus Kia, a professional esports team competing in League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) and top international League of Legends tournaments.
Under this agreement, AndaSeat will become the official gaming chair partner of Dplus Kia. The company will provide chairs for the team’s training and practice spaces to support players during long hours of gameplay.
Apart from this, the collaboration will include the development of custom-designed chairs to highlight Dplus Kia’s team identity. These chairs will combine the team’s branding with ergonomic features suited for professional players.
AndaSeat has also mentioned that the partnership is expected to go beyond the team itself which means AndaSeat and Dplus Kia plan to bring elements of the professional esports setup to everyday players and fans through future product offerings. However, specific details about this haven’t been revealed yet.
“Professional esports places increasing physical demands on players, particularly during prolonged periods of seated gameplay,” said Lin Zhou, CEO of AndaSeat. “Through this collaboration with Dplus Kia, we are continuing to explore how thoughtful ergonomic design can better support posture, reduce strain, and contribute to a more sustainable competitive environment.”
“We are thrilled to partner with AndaSeat, a company that possesses world-class ergonomic technology,” said Joon Lee, COO and Managing Partner of Dplus Kia. “Through this collaboration, we aim not only to provide our players with an optimized performance environment but also to broaden our engagement with fans by introducing special edition products that embody Dplus Kia’s brand identity. We look forward to the powerful synergy our two organizations will create together.”
AndaSeat’s partnership with Dplus KIA does not represent its first move into the esports industry, as the company had previously collaborated with Norwegian organisation Metizport to supply customized gaming chairs. Meanwhile, Dplus KIA has been expanding into newer partnership categories, most recently teaming up with Web3 platform STIX to launch a fan token program.
