1xBet has launched a new commemorative initiative for its partnered Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) teams, introducing custom championship rings for rosters that reach first place in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) for the first time. Presented during the PGL Astana on 13 May, the inaugural awards were given to The MongolZ following their ascent to the top of the rankings in 2025.

The move is designed to provide physical recognition for digital achievements, drawing direct inspiration from the “ring culture” established in North American traditional sports leagues.

The award will be granted to any 1xBet partner organisation that achieves the top of the ranking for the first time in its history. For the debut presentation, the rings were customised to match the brand identity of The MongolZ, featuring 9-karat yellow gold, natural black diamonds, and black enamel. This physical trophy is intended to serve as a symbol of competitive legacy that exists outside of digital rankings, which are ephemeral.

Through the move, 1xBet is attempting to adapt traditional athletic prestige to esports aesthetics and modern visual culture while integrating its brand to a lasting physical asset. “The new award was created to ensure that major achievements live on not only in rankings and headlines, but also as a personal physical symbol for every player,” 1xBet stated in a press release.

The timing of the presentation follows a period of unprecedented success for Mongolian esports. The MongolZ’s 2025 performance, which saw them lead the VRS, established the region as a primary contender in global Counter-Strike, a narrative further supported by the Mongolian Esports Association’s recent integration into the National Olympic Committee..

As the CS2 ecosystem continues to evolve under Valve’s updated ranking and invitation rules for 2026, the value of reaching the top of the VRS has increased significantly. For organisations, securing a physical token of this achievement serves as a commercial asset that can be leveraged for brand storytelling and fan engagement, mirroring the prestige of the NBA or NFL championship cycles.
