South Korean esports powerhouse T1 has reportedly finalised a contract extension for Chief Executive Officer Joe Marsh, keeping him at the helm of the legacy organisation for nearly three more years.
According to reports from South Korean outlet INVEN, the organisation’s board of directors passed the initial motion for his reappointment on 16 March before formally ratifying the executive resolution on 3 April. The decision extends Marsh’s tenure as CEO and inside director until 30 March 2029.

Marsh initially took office on October 2019, following the structural merger between SK Telecom and Comcast Spectacor—where he previously served as Chief Business Officer (CBO) for the Overwatch League franchise Philadelphia Fusion—to consolidate the joint venture T1 Entertainment & Sports. Marsh has remained the operational anchor of the brand throughout its entire modern era, guiding T1 through a period of massive commercial scaling and intense competitive pressure in the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) circuit.
The board’s vote of confidence points directly to a series of historic competitive and financial milestones achieved under Marsh’s leadership such as competitive excellence, as T1 secured four League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) final appearances, highlighted by an unprecedented “three-peat” championship run that cemented the roster’s international dominance; and a financial turnaround, as on the corporate ledger Marsh successfully steered T1’s financial ecosystem into a positive operating profit.
According to the financial results, a big reason for the positive operating profit in 2025 was merchandise sales. T1 made about ₩74.13 billion ($48.93 million) by selling products like jerseys, team merchandise, and branded items. On the other hand, sponsorships and ads, including deals like fashion brand ABLY and Red Sea Global, brought in ₩14.51 billion ($9.58 million).
