Esports organisation G2 Esports has secured a partnership with PUBG Mobile Esports to accelerate the competitive growth of mobile gaming across Western Europe.
The collaboration intends to construct an interactive amateur-to-pro competitive pathway by uniting the title’s global tournament circuit with G2’s content-driven media strategies. The overarching objective is to bridge the historical market gap between Western mobile engagement and the massive mobile ecosystems observed in Asian markets, establishing a long-standing, dedicated hub for regional players and casual audiences alike.
The multi-layered operational layout launches immediately with registration opening for the 2026 PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) Western Europe Wildcard. G2’s internal white-label creative production house, 62, will oversee tournament operations, media buying, creator campaigns, and community activations.

The first major milestone under this operational umbrella will be the 2026 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) Western Europe Finals, taking place between 11 and 13 September, followed by the PMCO Western Europe Finals on 14 September. Aiming to secure mainstream audience retention, the campaign introduces a regional ambassador programme headlined by content creator JanickaGaming, who will deliver weekly streaming content and interactive coverage of the competitive ecosystem.

Addressing the regional opportunity, Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2, stated: “When you look at the scale mobile esports has reached in Asia, it’s hard not to get excited about the opportunity in Western Europe. It still feels like we’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible here. There’s a huge audience that loves competitive gaming, and we see a real opportunity to help more players and fans discover everything PUBG Mobile Esports has to offer.”
Shaowei Chen, Head of Western Europe Publishing at PUBG Mobile, added: “This collaboration extends beyond hosting competitive tournaments—its core mission is to establish a long-standing, dedicated hub for PUBG Mobile esports audiences across Western Europe. By integrating our worldwide competitive infrastructure with G2’s entertainment-centric operating philosophy, we will craft immersive and new experiences.”
The deployment highlights a critical push by major mobile publishers to expand into historically PC and console-centric Western territories. PUBG Mobile is not the only mobile title executing this move; publisher MOONTON Games has recently secured development partnerships with SURGE in Europe and NODWIN Gaming for the Americas to strengthen its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports ecosystem across those territories.
Supported by data and infrastructure provider Runestone, these parallel movements reflect a coordinated attempt by mobile-first giants to leverage regionalised content pipelines and established local esports brands to turn casual mobile downloads into highly structured competitive communities.
