Tournament organiser BLAST has announced a one-year partnership with MATCH, a hospitality and sports experience provider, to integrate traditional sports-grade travel infrastructure into its international esports tournament portfolio.
The 12-month agreement will see MATCH deploy its full-service logistics, marketing, sales, and accommodation frameworks globally, with immediate operations launching for the BLAST Premier Hong Kong Rivals Counter-Strike 2 event this November.
The alliance aims to capitalise on growing consumer demand for elevated physical tournament experiences by converting the organiser’s large digital viewership into high-end international tourism corridors.

The partnership brings an established traditional sports legacy operator directly into competitive gaming. MATCH and its associated corporate group are recognised for executing large-scale hospitality operations at major athletic tournaments, having managed accommodation and spectator travel programmes for four consecutive FIFA World Cups between 2010 and 2022, multiple Formula 1 Grand Prix circuits, the Ryder Cup, and various ATP tennis tournaments.
By integrating MATCH’s technical infrastructure, BLAST intends to build scalable travel packages that accommodate international fans while introducing a pre-vetted corporate network of commercial partners, sponsors, media agents, and sports federations to live esports environments.

Explaining the long-term operational vision for the circuit, James Woollard, VP of Destinations and Market Development for BLAST, stated: “As BLAST continues to grow globally and attract growing numbers of travelling fans, this partnership represents an exciting opportunity to further elevate the live event experience for fans and audiences across esports.”
Richard Parker, Director of UK Events and Business Strategy for MATCH, noted: “At MATCH, we see a tremendous opportunity to bring our expertise in creating premium fan experiences into the esports arena. We are very enthusiastic about the possibility of working together with BLAST to deliver innovative, unforgettable experiences for esports fans worldwide.”
The move comes amid a growing interest from hospitality brands in esports. In June 2025, Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) announced a series of strategic partnerships to bring gaming and esports solutions to its global portfolio of over 250 luxury properties. Meanwhile, the Esports Foundation (then Esports World Cup Foundation) secured a multi-year deal with Hilton in July 2025, naming the hospitality giant as the official hotel partner for the Esports World Cup.
