Esports organisation Aurora Gaming has announced a major partnership with prediction platform Polymarket, designating the company as the new main sponsor for its key competitive rosters. The commercial tie-up aims to leverage Aurora’s digital footprint across core competitive titles like Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) and Dota 2 to drive user acquisition and engagement.
The agreement, announced ahead of Aurora’s debut at IEM Cologne Major 2026, will see Polymarket’s branding integrated across the club’s primary digital assets and team apparel.
The move marks another aggressive step into competitive gaming for the high-volume forecasting platform as it continues to scale its marketing footprint across the 2026 ecosystem.

Specific financial terms and the exact duration of the agreement were not disclosed. For Aurora, the deal secures a well-capitalized non-endemic partner to anchor its commercial operations during a phase of rapid organisational growth.
Polymarket’s entry into the Aurora ecosystem follows a string of high-profile esports sponsorships executed by the platform over the first half of 2026, including a media partnership with Sheep Esports and a season-long deal with tournament organiser BLAST.

Notably, while recent commercial alignments between gambling platforms and traditional esports organisations—such as paiN Gaming’s activation with CHEXX or the very own Polymarket deal with Sheep Esports—have drawn sharp, organic backlash, the reception to the Aurora Gaming and Polymarket announcement has remained largely neutral-to-positive.
However, a closer look at the comments reveals a distinct demographic skew: the majority of the positive engagement originates from accounts with clear ties to the Web3 and Polymarket ecosystems. This support on X essentially shielded the announcement from the recent backlash seen with Polymarket deals.
