DHL has officially extended its partnership with the Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS) for the 2026 season, continuing a collaboration that first began in September 2025.

The deal is part of DHL’s relationship with ESL FACEIT Group (EFG), the organiser of OWCS and other esports events. DHL has been working with EFG since 2018, with the partnership renewed in 2024 and now continuing through OWCS activations.

DHL first joined Overwatch Champions Series during Stage 3 of the 2025 season. Since then, it has added branding, fan activities, and its mascot CARGO to broadcasts and events. These elements will continue and expand in 2026.

As per the official website, CARGO appears during OWCS streams to deliver match highlights. The character is designed around a logistics theme, matching the payload-based gameplay seen in Overwatch 2 maps.

Another key part of the partnership is the “Last Mile Protocol,” which focuses on fan engagement. In its original 2025 version, the feature activated during overtime on certain maps. Each time a team successfully completed the payload, more rewards were added to a prize pool. Fans could sign up weekly for a chance to win prizes, including trips with flights, hotel stays, and entry to events like BlizzCon.

For 2026, DHL has updated the Last Mile Protocol which gives fans a direct chance to win exclusive rewards whenever a payload is successfully delivered in overtime. This builds on the earlier version but makes it more immediate and interactive.

DHL is also continuing its on-site fan activities. One of these is the DHL Drop, where fans at events can collect special signs, wave them in the crowd, and interact with DHL staff for a chance to win prizes. This activation was first introduced at the OWCS Grand Finals and is now used regularly at major events.

Besides showing up in esports tournaments, DHL Express has also signed an MoU with Zain Iraq to work on building logistics solutions for the esports sector in Iraq.
