The League of Legends European Championship (LEC) has announced the location for its biggest event of the year. The LEC Summer Finals will take place in Nice, France, from September 18 to 20, 2026.

This event is the end of the LEC Summer Split, the second and final part of the competitive season in Europe. It’s the moment when one team will be crowned Summer Champion and, more importantly, will claim the last European ticket to the League of Legends World Championship, which is being held in North America this October.

For fans who are new to League of Legends esports, here’s the simple version: the LEC is the top professional league for the game in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Teams battle all season long for a spot at Worlds, the biggest tournament in the sport. The Summer Finals are the last chance for a team to lock in that final Worlds spot.

The Finals will be held at the Palais Nikaia, an indoor arena in Nice. The event will include the league’s top teams and players, along with the broadcast talent and co-streamers who cover the league throughout the year. The event follows last year’s Summer Finals in Madrid. The move to Nice continues a pattern of the LEC holding its Summer Finals in a different European city each year.

Tickets will be available through several channels, with prices varying by seating category and day. A pre-sale is being run through Euronics, the LEC’s pre-sale partner; fans can register to receive an access code ahead of the general sale. The general public sale, along with travel packages and sales run by individual teams for their own fanbases, opens on July 10 at 5:00 PM CEST.

A new ticket option this year, the Prestige Pass, includes premium in-house seating, a backstage tour, and digital items including an in-game Braum skin. Ticket prices are as follows:

  • Friday or Saturday
    • Category I: €49
    • Category II: €35
  • Sunday Finals
    • Category I: €69
    • Category II: €50
  • Weekend Pass
    • Category I: €119
    • Category II: Not available

The LEC has said more details about the event, including additional fan experiences, will be revealed in the coming months.

Riot has been making a lot of moves lately when it comes to the overall LoL esports ecosystem, from appointing Berlin-based agency onethreefive gaming GmbH to run the DACH regional league to teaming up with N.E.O. to launch LGC: Rising, a new EMEA competition for women in the LoL ecosystem.
