Riot Games has appointed Berlin-based agency onethreefive gaming GmbH to operate the League of Legends (LoL) European Regional League (ERL) for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) for the 2026 and 2027 competitive seasons. The company will immediately take over the comprehensive organization, lower competitive tiers, and league structures of the Techniker Prime League. The administrative transition ensures the long-term continuity of the circuit, which features more than 10,000 active players across its broader ecosystem.

The operational handover occurs amid significant growth for the regional tournament. According to a press release, under onethreefive gaming’s ongoing leadership framework, the competition recorded a 200 percent year-on-year increase in average hours watched per match compared to the 2025 season. This viewership trajectory has been primarily accelerated by digital co-streaming integrations from prominent regional content creators and team co-owners, alongside structural commercial support from a retained sponsor portfolio that includes health insurer Techniker Krankenkasse, Nongshim, KitKat, and DKB.
To establish a permanent infrastructure for the ecosystem moving forward, the operator has secured a commercial property partnership with electronics retail group MediaMarktSaturn. The agreement establishes the XPERION Berlin venue as the central, year-round physical home for the Techniker Prime League. Shifting away from standard online-only regular season broadcasts, the facility will host selected live match days, in-person community activations, and specialised team marketing events directly from the venue floors.
“The Techniker Prime League has tremendous potential,” stated Matthias Remmert, CPO of onethreefive gaming and Founder of heartbase group. “Our goal is to unlock that potential together with the community, the teams, and our partners, and to build a league that not only feels professional but also approachable, authentic, and alive. It’s about creating structures people can rely on.”
The appointment resolves six months of structural uncertainty surrounding the league’s administrative future. In November 2025, the tournament’s previous long-term operator, Freaks 4U Gaming GmbH, filed for provisional insolvency proceedings at the Charlottenburg local court. Although Freaks 4U Gaming had initially extended its tournament operation license with Riot Games through to 2027, the agency’s severe economic instability forced the publisher to re-evaluate the management framework for the DACH territory.
