SkinScanner.gg, a price comparison search engine for Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) skins, has appointed esports and gaming industry veteran Niels Topp as its new Head of Growth.
Topp announced the move on LinkedIn and revealed that the appointment comes shortly after the shutdown announcement of GamerPay, where he most recently served as Marketing Lead.
In his post, Topp said that after GamerPay’s closure, he knew he wanted to remain in the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) ecosystem. Following discussions with SkinScanner CEO Joshua Sinclair and having previously used SkinScanner as both a customer and partner during his time at GamerPay, he said joining the company was a “no-brainer.”
At SkinScanner, his responsibilities will extend beyond marketing, communications, and content. He said a key focus of his role will be growing the company’s partnerships and customer base while also supporting the SSG community, SkinScanner’s Discord server, which has nearly 20,000 Counter-Strike players and skin enthusiasts.
Topp also highlighted SkinScanner’s reporting data and return on investment for CS2 marketplaces. Having worked on both sides of the industry, he said the platform’s performance stands out compared to the market average.

SkinScanner.gg is a specialised search engine and price aggregator for Counter-Strike 2 skin trading. Often described as the “Skyscanner” of the in-game assets industry, the platform helps players compare prices and find the most cost-effective deals across dozens of third-party skin marketplaces.
Topp joins SkinScanner with experience across gaming, esports, marketing, and broadcasting. In GamerPay, he led the company’s marketing function and was responsible for organic social media, SEO, content strategy, and paid referral partnerships.
Before GamerPay, Topp worked as a Marketing Consultant at Novicell between August 2024 and January 2026. During that time, he supported large Go-To-Market projects covering strategy, content production, and cross-functional execution.
Alongside his marketing career, Topp spent more than five years at TV 2 Danmark as a host and commentator. During his time with the broadcaster, he worked on more than 500 broadcast days across studio and on-location productions in cities including Paris, Katowice, Cologne, Copenhagen, and Odense.
