Romanian esports tournament organiser PGL and real-time data infrastructure provider Runestone announced a three-year renewal of their strategic partnership. The extension ensures that Runestone will remain the Official Data Partner for PGL’s global circuit until the end of 2029. The deal covers all Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Tier-1 championships operated by the company, including the 2026 Singapore Major.
The stated goal of the agreement is to provide the low-latency technical infrastructure required for PGL’s broadcasts and to serve as a safeguard against match manipulation through real-time monitoring. Data integration is increasingly vital for tournament organisers to maintain competitive integrity and deliver high-fidelity live feeds.

Runestone will provide official data delivery and integrity monitoring across the organiser’s entire roadmap. The infrastructure captures in-game actions without delay, allowing PGL to integrate live data into its broadcast analytics while monitoring for any irregular betting patterns or gameplay anomalies.
Regarding the scope of the collaboration, Shane Clarke, Managing Director of Runestone, stated: “Extending our partnership with PGL reflects the trust we’ve built delivering in high-pressure environments. Over the past few years, we’ve grown our footprint together, and we’re proud to keep building on that. Our focus is simple: reliable, real-time data they can depend on, whether it’s a Major final or a qualifier.”
“At PGL, pushing boundaries is part of who we are. Through our collaboration with Runestone, we’re unlocking new layers of interactivity, transforming the broadcast into a fully integrated digital experience built for the next wave of esports audiences,” stated Silviu Stroie, CEO of PGL.
The extension follows a series of recent expansions by both companies within the competitive sector. PGL previously announced an investment of at least 22 million US dollars into the CS2 ecosystem for its 2027 and 2028 Tier 1 tournament programme. This financial commitment includes prize money, club rewards, and team revenue distribution across a scheduled calendar of at least 12 events.
Runestone has also expanded its footprint across other major competitive gaming properties. The company served as the official data and integrity partner for the StarLadder Budapest Major in 2025. Its data infrastructure was also utilised in a cooperation with the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) to identify match manipulation during ESL Pro League Season 22, which led to a four-year ban for player Dmytro “nifee” Tediashvili.
Furthermore, Runestone was announced as the Title Partner for the Global Esports Industry Week 2026, scheduled to take place in Cologne in June along with the IEM Cologne Major.
The reliance on live data providers has become a standard practice for tier-one organisers looking to protect their ecosystems from betting fraud and match-fixing. With PGL scaling its event investment and calendar for the upcoming years, the integration of dedicated data monitoring reflects a broader industry movement toward securing competitive environments for launching massive financial circuits.
