Riot Games has announced an apparel collection for VALORANT in collaboration with the Japanese brand fragment, headed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, a designer who is considered the “godfather of streetwear”. The limited-edition capsule, named VLRNT//FRGMT, has been launched to coincide with the VALORANT Champions world tournament, which is currently being held in Paris.

According to the announcement, the collection is designed to blend VALORANT’s “revolutionary aesthetic” with fragment’s “unmistakable minimalism.” It features a curated range of items including sportswear, t-shirts, and accessories for use both in-game and in real life.

In a statement, Marc Johns, Head of Global Marketing for VALORANT at Riot Games, explained the strategic reasoning behind the partnership. “Skill and self-expression are fundamental components of VALORANT’s DNA,” Johns stated. “Partnering with fragment during the Champions was an opportunity to blend competition and design in products that players will want to use in the game and outside of it.”

The company stated these collaborations are intended to “break the barriers at the intersection of gaming, style, and culture,” whether through in-game items or physical products.

The VLRNT//FRGMT collection is now available online in North America, Europe, South Korea, and Japan, as well as in China via Riot Games’ Tmall, JDG, Douyin, and the VALORANT Merch Mall. The collection will also be sold at the VALORANT Champions event in Paris’ Accor Arena from 3-5 October, and at a pop-up shop in the city from 2-6 October.
