Ahead of VCT EMEA Stage 2, Riot Games has launched the Pro Player Council, a new initiative aimed at giving players a structured platform to provide feedback and shape the future of the VALORANT league.
Each VCT EMEA team was invited to nominate a representative to join the council, ensuring that all organisations have a direct line of communication with league leadership. According to Riot, the goal is to foster open, collaborative conversations and gather player insights on the broader VCT ecosystem.
The council will meet regularly throughout the season and is supported by a dedicated chat server exclusively for its members. This channel is intended to facilitate ongoing discussion and give players a space to raise questions, share concerns, or follow up on key topics outside of formal meetings.
Riot described the council as part of a broader effort to evolve the league experience and create more space for dialogue with pro players. The initiative can play a key role in helping Riot identify areas for improvement across logistics, rulesets, and player welfare — while building trust between players and tournament organisers.
VCT EMEA isn’t the first elite level esports league to have a players association. In the LTA North (formerly LCS) there is the LCSPA, while the Counter-Strike scene has the CSSPA.
