The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) has announced a partnership with Olayan Food Services’ licensed brand, Burger King, which will serve as the official presenting partner and sponsor for the 2025 season of the Universities eLeague and the Schools eLeague.

Through this partnership, SEF and Burger King will provide thousands of student players with the opportunity to pursue professional esports careers and represent the Kingdom on the international stage. The Universities and Schools eLeagues have already seen impressive participation, with over 2,200 schools, 38 universities, and 1.2 million players involved in previous seasons.

In an official statement, Rawan AlButairi, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Esports Federation, stated that “We are delighted to welcome Burger King as a key partner for our School and Universities Leagues. This partnership is significant in strengthening our esports ecosystem and establishing the next generation of esports champions from Saudi Arabia.”

The 2025 season will be a major one as it will feature a combined prize pool of SAR 300,000 (approximately USD $80,000), with SAR 50,000 ($13,300) allocated to the Schools eLeague and SAR 250,000 ($66,600)to the Universities eLeague.

By teaming up with Burger King, the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) aims to recognize and nurture top-tier esports talent for the Saudi Arabian esports sector, which is forecasted to reach $54.5 million by 2030. This partnership supports the goals of Vision 2030 and the National Gaming and Esports Strategy, with the primary objective to make Saudi Arabia a global hub for gaming and esports.
