Riot Games has confirmed that the esports organisation Sentinels will join the North American League Championship Series (LCS) as a permanent partner team.
The move will see Sentinels take over the slot previously designated for 100 Thieves as a Provisional Guest Team.

As part of its entry into the LCS, Sentinels has committed to investing in “multi-year infrastructure, coaching, and player development.” Further details regarding staffing, roster timelines, and community initiatives are expected to be released in the coming months.
Sentinels is described by Riot Games as “one of the most recognisable names in esports, with championship pedigree and a loyal global fan base.” The announcement highlighted Sentinels’ roots in Phoenix1, an original LCS team, and its subsequent rise as a “powerhouse in VALORANT,” noting its consistent ability to “invest deeply, compete at the highest level, and build vibrant communities around their teams.”
