Team Liquid, one of the world’s most established esports organisations, has partnered with Mirage Digital to launch a 24/7 FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming Television) channel dedicated to competitive gaming content. The initiative centres around the World of Warcraft: Race to World First event and aims to expand the accessibility of esports through OTT platforms starting with The Roku Channel.

The programming block, which debuts today, marks the first time that Team Liquid has developed content specifically for a FAST platform. The move represents a shift in how esports events are usually distributed and consumed.

The centrepiece of the channel will be Team Liquid’s campaign in the World of Warcraft event, one of the most watched MMORPG competitions globally. Set to begin in late August, the tournament coverage will be supplemented by additional content such as strategy analysis, player profiles, daily recaps, and exclusive backstage access.

According to Mirage Digital, this partnership reflects a broader vision for monetising digital content beyond traditional means. The company, which works with over 300 creators, has developed a content syndication model that includes repurposing and licensing across various digital platforms. To date, Mirage claims to have generated over $1 million in revenue for its creator network.

Griffin Haddrill, Founder of Mirage Digital, described the collaboration as “a monumental moment” for both esports and television networks, merging continuous content with top-tier competitive gameplay. John Littell, CEO of Mirage Digital, noted that this project is not just a tournament broadcast but a “24/7 experience” designed to push the boundaries of esports coverage.

Claire Hungate, President and COO of Team Liquid, emphasised the opportunity to spotlight the human side of competitive gaming. “This partnership lets us showcase the heart, hustle, and humanity of our players in a way we’ve never done before—24/7, across every screen,” she said.

The channel’s launch is seen as a strategic step to increase crossover appeal for esports and to expand Team Liquid’s reach beyond traditional livestreaming platforms such as Twitch.

Robin Bigge, Co-CEO of Mirage Digital, highlighted the collaboration as part of a broader mission to reimagine the distribution of gaming content. “This is about creating long-term value for teams, fans, and platforms alike—and Race to World First is just the beginning,” he said.

The Team Liquid FAST Channel is now available via The Roku Channel, with traditional Twitch broadcasts continuing in parallel.
