Retail giant Walmart is partnering with ESL FACEIT Group to bring a retro gaming activation to DreamHack Atlanta 2025. The collaboration will see the “Walmart Delivers” experience feature a dedicated “Lo-fi Play” hub at the event, aiming to engage attendees with nostalgic gaming content.
The activation will allow visitors to play retro video and board games, climb a live leaderboard, take an 8-bit-style photo, and receive free gamer merchandise sold by Walmart. The festival is scheduled to take place from October 31st to November 2nd, 2025, at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Andreas Jernberg, Vice President Commercial at ESL FACEIT Group, the parent company of DreamHack, commented on the partnership ia a press release. “Their lo-fi gaming hub is a fantastic addition that adds a nostalgic spirit to our event, offering a unique and engaging experience for our attendees. It’s great to see a brand like Walmart engaging with our community in such an authentic way,” Jernberg said.
The “Walmart Delivers” experience itself is a touring activation that has previously visited major US cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas.
DreamHack Atlanta is set to feature the largest-ever esports prize pool in the festival’s history. The festival has announced a programme of over 10 tournaments across seven titles with a combined prize pool of $6.6 million.
Featured titles include include classics like Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League and VALORANT. However, it is the SNK World Championship which represents the largest share of the total prize pool, contributing $4.1 million across its circuit, followed by the inaugural Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals ($1 million) and the Clash of Clans World Championship Finals ($700,000).
