XP Tavern, a new gaming lounge, cocktail bar, and entertainment venue, has officially launched in London, offering a fresh addition to the city’s esports and nightlife scene. Located at 9 Chaucer Gardens, close to the Aldgate East Station, the venue opened its doors on 6th June, blending gaming, social spaces, and hospitality in a purpose-built setting.
A key highlight of the opening period is XP Tavern’s Esports & Games Industry Party, scheduled for 15th July. The event is designed to bring together professionals from across the esports and gaming sectors for a night of networking, competition, and celebration. Attendees can expect exclusive gameplay sessions, competitive action, and a selection of signature cocktails. The venue has invited industry figures to connect via social media for access to the event.
XP Tavern offers a variety of zones to cater to both competitive players and casual visitors. The Hexagon is a dedicated esports area featuring 15 high-end PCs, designed for LAN parties, tournaments, and community gaming nights. In addition, a PC Bootcamp Room provides space for teams to train for upcoming events or competitions, while console booths with PlayStations offer a more relaxed gaming experience with food and drink service at hand. The bar area complements the venue’s gaming facilities, providing a space for socialising over drinks or board games.
The venue was founded by Mykyta Slobodskyi and is operated by Alisa Oleksiuk. Both emphasise XP Tavern’s focus on inclusivity and community. “We built XP Tavern as a space where gamers and non-gamers alike can come together,” said Slobodskyi. “From casual hangs to hardcore tournaments, we’ve created a space where everyone feels welcome,” Oleksiuk added.
Until 27th June, XP Tavern is running soft launch promotions, including discounted food, drinks, and gaming sessions. The venue’s food offering will include artisan pizzas, sharing plates, and vegan, halal, and vegetarian options, while the drinks menu features original cocktails and mocktails. With its upcoming industry event and competitive gaming facilities, XP Tavern aims to establish itself as a new hub for London’s esports and gaming communities.
