Tournament organiser FiReSPORTS has announced a partnership with data infrastructure provider Runestone for the upcoming FiReMAJOR Buenos Aires 2027, the first Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Major of 2027.

Under the terms of the agreement, Runestone will serve as the Official Data and Integrity Partner for the tournament, which marks the first-ever CS2 Major championship to be hosted in Argentina.

Runestone will deploy its real-time data operations to deliver low-latency information directly from the server to power high-fidelity broadcast elements, accurate overlays, and fast analytics. Concurrently, the firm will implement live competitive integrity monitoring systems to scan for statistical irregularities and safeguard matches against potential manipulation.

Rodrigo Figueroa Reyes, CEO and Founder of FiReSPORTS, emphasised that “bringing the first Counter-Strike 2 Major to Buenos Aires is a pivotal moment for our region, for the Argentine esports scene, and for FiReSPORTS.” He also added that the company wanted “a partner like Runestone” to “match the ambition of the event.”

“Hosting a Major is one of the toughest assignments in esports, and doing it for the first time in a new region takes real ambition. Supporting FiReSPORTS with our data and integrity infrastructure is something we’re genuinely excited about,” noted Shane Clarke, Managing Director of Runestone.

The agreement continues a rapid period of market expansion for Runestone within tier-one tactical and mobile esports. In recent months, the data infrastructure provider has finalized major data agreements across several flagship pipelines, including a partnership with StarLadder for the Counter-Strike 2 Budapest Major 2025, a comprehensive PGL dataset partnership for its Counter-Strike circuit through 2029, and a parallel four-year extension covering Dota 2.

Furthermore, Runestone has targeted expanded regional operations across the Global South, recently linking with NODWIN Gaming to integrate live broadcast assets and data integrity parameters into the mobile landscape for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Championship Tour (MCT) AMER 2026. The company also supported the esports B2B development through becoming the Title Partner of the Global Esports Industry Week 2026 in Cologne.
