Livestreaming platform Bigo Live has become an official content partner for the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026, with a campaign built specifically for esports audiences in the Middle East and North Africa.

Through the partnership, Bigo Live will stream key matches of Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026, host creator-led watch parties, and add interactive features. Rather than covering the entire EWC schedule, Bigo Live’s activation centers on three mobile games: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Honor of Kings, and PUBG Mobile.

Instead of simply relaying a match feed, Bigo said the EWC campaign gives creators an active part to play. Through dedicated streams and watch parties, they can lead multilingual conversations and share reactions as matches unfold.

The Bigo Live app will also use several tools together for the broadcast, such as premium placements, launch screens, dedicated event pages, tournament schedules, and notifications. Viewers can also take part more directly, through match predictions, discussions tied to the tournament, and EWC-themed giveaways.

Finally, Bigo Live’s involvement isn’t limited to in-app streams. The company is also running related content across its social media channels, timed to line up with major tournament phases and ceremonies.

Esports Leaders, the executive gathering at the 5-star Hôtel du Collectionneur will bring together senior decision-makers in and around esports and gaming during the closing days of the Esports World Cup. Find more details at this link.

Bigo mentioned that the idea behind this partnership is to connect Arabic-speaking and multilingual gaming communities with the matches, the players, and the ongoing conversations around the tournament in the languages they actually use day to day.

The company also stated that competitive gaming keeps drawing bigger crowds across MENA. Earlier this summer, the Dubai Esports and Games Festival drew more than 43,000 attendees, its largest turnout yet. That number suggests there’s steady, real demand in the region for esports events.

Khaldoun Mahmoud, Government Relations Director for the Middle East and North Africa at Bigo Technology, said, “The partnership is designed to make esports viewing interactive and communal while supporting regional creators and celebrating MENA gaming communities.”

Bigo Live isn’t the only platform broadcasting the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026. In France, France Télévisions airs a daily highlights program called La Minute EWC, while OTP (One Trick Production) has secured the French live broadcast rights for major titles. Meanwhile, Naver’s CHZZK holds the exclusive Korean-language streaming rights for all 25 Esports World Cup titles this year.
