Swedish company FUZED has launched “FUZED & Friends“, a five-day public event on gaming and sports taking place at the Sergels torg square in Stockholm from 12 to 16 August 2026 as part of the Stockholm Culture Festival.

Organised alongside entities including DreamHack, Nike, Stadium, and the Stockholm Football Association, the event provides interactive activities aimed at addressing youth physical inactivity and screen time habits.

The free public event offers structured stations where participants can engage in both gaming and physical sports. The daily schedule includes the FUZED TROPHY competition, where three-person teams compete across physical football matches, EA SPORTS FC 26, and LEGO Battle. Additional activations include open gaming stations hosted by DreamHack and physical exercise sessions organised by Nike and Stadium.

“We share the view that many children and young people are not active enough, and that unlimited screen time for children is unsustainable,” said Karl Sergel, CEO and Co-Founder of FUZED. “With the FUZED concept, we have shown how screens can become a powerful tool for getting more children physically active and changing the culture around screen time.”

Esports Leaders Paris is on 21st August at the 5-star Hôtel du Collectionneur bringing together senior decision-makers in and around esports and gaming during the closing EWC weekend. Get your pass here.

FUZED is a company focused on youth health and gaming infrastructure. It operates on a model where participants earn gaming time on high-performance PCs and consoles by participating in physical exercise. FUZED was recognised for its approach to combining youth health with gaming culture, receiving the Årets Peppare (Motivator of the Year) award at the 2023 Swedish Sports Gala.

The initiative forms part of a wider effort across the Nordic region where grassroots operators, sports federations, and corporate brands partner to integrate physical activity into youth gaming culture. Other examples include Denmark’s DGI Esport, which promotes physical warm-ups and health training within local sports club gaming sessions, and the Swedish Esports Federation’s integration into the national sports confederation in 2023, which includes a mandate to promote joint physical and digital training.

“We are now scaling up to reach children across Sweden, so being part of the Stockholm Culture Festival and reaching thousands of children in the heart of the capital is incredibly exciting,” added Sergel.
