Rainbow Six Esports has released a new set of in-game cosmetic items in collaboration with four esports organisations: 100 Thieves, SCARZ, Cloud9, and M80.
The new skins are available in the in-game shop within Rainbow Six Siege. Players can purchase them using in-game credits, which are bought with real money. Anyone wanting to support a specific team among the four currently featured can do so by picking up that team’s skin through the shop.
According to the official Rainbow Six Esports account, this is only the first group of skins being released. More esports organisations are expected to get their own skins in the future. Based on how Ubisoft has handled similar releases in the past, including a run of team skin drops between June and July 2026, new waves have tended to arrive roughly a week apart, with each new wave typically announced only shortly before it goes live, sometimes on the same day.
The skins are part of a programme called R6 Share. Under this programme, when a player buys a team-branded skin, 50% of the net sales from that item goes directly to the esports organisation featured on it. This 50% split has been in place since 2022, when Ubisoft changed the programme from an earlier 30% share. The remaining share goes both to Ubisoft and is used to support and fund the Rainbow Six esports scene more broadly.
2026 has been a significant year for the Rainbow Six esports business, driven by a series of high-profile tournament and partnership deals. One of the biggest examples is R6 extending its partnership with tournament organiser BLAST for another three years, which included a major event being held in Osaka, Japan. Ubisoft also renewed its partnership with Xbox Game Pass for Rainbow Six Siege for the 2026 and 2027 competitive seasons. On top of that, Rainbow Six has been confirmed for the inaugural Esports Nations Cup, where teams representing different countries will compete for the title, though the event was postponed to November 2027.
