Team Liquid’s World of Warcraft roster, Liquid Guild, has raised $41,867.27 for UNICEF during its latest Race to World First (RWF) campaign.

It’s more than twice the roughly $20,000 Team Liquid raised during its previous RWF fundraiser in April 2026. Race to World First is a World of Warcraft event where top guilds compete to be the first in the world to clear a new raid’s hardest difficulty. Runs typically stretch over multiple days and draw large numbers of viewers, since guilds livestream their progress and often bring in guest casters and community events alongside the competition.

Donations for the latest run were collected through the fundraising platform Tiltify, which had set a target of $45,000. The final total of $41,867.27 fell just short of that goal. These funds will go to UNICEF, routed through UNICEF Netherlands, and will support the organisation’s work on education, tied to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4.

In practice, practice, these contributions have financed initiatives such as UNICEF’s “School-in-a-Box” kits, which give children in conflict zones basic supplies to keep learning even when regular schools aren’t available, along with efforts to expand access to learning technology, train teachers, and support vulnerable children’s ability to learn and play in safe settings.

“$41,867. That’s what our Race to World First run raised for UNICEF! Our guild, casters, crew, and community raised that total during the 17-day marathon, packed with creative milestones and fun challenges. It’s more than double what we raised during our last Race to World First fundraiser and the biggest total we’ve ever put up for this cause,” Team Liquid said in a LinkedIn post.

The fundraiser is one piece of a broader partnership between Team Liquid and UNICEF that started in November 2025. Beyond the Race to World First campaign, the partnership has included a UNICEF-branded kit for Team Liquid’s team in EA FC 26, as well as a collaboration with the sports memorabilia platform MatchWornShirt (MWS) to auction jerseys worn by Team Liquid players at the Esports World Cup 2026. Net proceeds from that auction also went to UNICEF, supporting the same goals around children’s education, digital access, and humanitarian relief.
