The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has announced that the WBSC eBaseball Series 2025 World Finals will take place at North Carolina State University (NC State) in Raleigh, United States, from 8 to 9 November 2025. The event will be hosted in partnership with USA Baseball and NC State Esports.
The Greater Raleigh Esports Local Organizing Committee celebrated the announcement, noting on LinkedIn that this marks the city’s fourth major esports competition to date, the latest the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Raleigh Major, and calling it “our biggest year ever for esports.” The Committee stated that the event further strengthens Greater Raleigh’s position as a premier global destination for competitive gaming.
The competition will unfold in three phases: Opening Round, Super Round, and Finals. The Opening Round will run online from 31 August to 27 September. The USA Finals will take place on 7 November, with six of the country’s top players—two from the USA eBaseball Power League and four from the USA Open online competition—vying for a spot in the World Finals. The final competition format will be announced at a later date.
The venue has also previously hosted the USA Finals and Group A of the HUGAN WBSC ePremier12 2024. “This event provides our students with the chance to learn in an experiential learning environment that will have long-term benefits,” said Cody Elsen, Esports Program Director at NC State University.
